Axxis Ultimate Brake Pads

There's no point going faster if you can't stop more effectively. We've found the original Mazda pads to be a good road pad, but when the going gets tough you need something that exudes confidence and power.

We've been running Axxis Ultimates on our supercharged MX-5 and have been very impressed with the results. We already knew what a great pad they were from rave reviews on www.miataforum.com so we just had to try them.

The pads work right from cold up to heavy braking on a track, without a hint of fade, and the absolute power is extraordinary. One thing we noticed was the extra pedal feel the pads gave over the stock Mazda pads -­ a light bite, medium grip or heavy braking can be accurately modulated with the pedal.

Wet performance is also improved, no more scary three second moments when you hope your brakes will start to kick-in. Expect a little more dust, which is easily removed, but this is a small price to pay for a great street and light trackday pad.
