One of the biggest complaints we hear from customers is the MX-5 doesn't sound like a proper sports car, and the puny exhaust tip doesn't help in the looks department either. There are so many exhaust solutions for the MX-5 that we recommend just two systems, based on the very best performance, construction, looks and sound.

Racing Beat Exhaust Systems

Attention to detail has always been Racing Beat's trademark, noted by the cast stainless steel sealing flanges and neat TIG welding. All Racing Beat systems are constructed entirely from 304-Grade stainless steel and feature cast stainless steel flanges for guaranteed gas sealing. The tubing is 2.375 inches making it the perfect performance choice. Each system is finished off with a 3.5 inch double walled oval tip discreetly bead-blasted with 'Racing Beat'. We've found that the system 'beds in' after 500 miles or so, taking on a more deeper and aggressive tone.

Power Pulse Connecting Pipe, M1

M1 systems are replaced from the CAT. The Power Pulse pipe incorporates a central silencer for a quieter system. Full stainless steel construction.

Sport Connecting Pipe, M1

M1 systems are replaced from the CAT. The Sport pipe does not include a central silencer for a louder system. Chrome plated mild steel.

4-1 Exhaust Manifold, M1 & M2/M2.5

This is a beautifully crafted manifold. The 4-1 design offers increased performance throughout the rev range, but particularly emphasised at higher rpms. Attention to detail exudes in every part of the construction. The MX-5s exhaust ports are oval, but tubing is generally round so to ensure a smooth transition for the gases a cast stainless steel flange is utilised. The same high quality flange is used for the CAT end and the pipework is highly polished. Not compatible with 'hotside' Jackson Racing and MP62 Supercharger Systems.
