P5 SportDrive Frame Rail Reinforcement Kit

A rigid 'chassis' is key to getting the MX-5 suspension to work properly, but unfortunately the factory frame rails normally take a beating throughout their life. Rather than have the 'chassis' flexing and acting like an un-damped spring, our frame rails not only restore but add extra 'chassis' rigidity which allows inputs to be controlled by the components that were designed for the job; the springs and dampers. Expect better damper control and less scuttle shake.

Designed using SolidWorks our frame rails are constructed from laser cut 2mm 304 grade stainless steel for corrosion protection. They fit over the existing chassis rails and are bolted up through the floor in twelve places for each rail using M8 stainless steel hardware. We've designed the rails to fit around the M2.5 Sport brace 'tabs' and allow the fuel/brake lines to neatly return to the stock position tucked up and out of the way.

Fits M1, M2 and M2.5. Complete with all fixing hardware and an introductory price!

SportDrive Frame Rail Reinforcement Kit - £99.00

P5 SportDrive Frame Rail Brace

Our frame rail brace is designed to add extra rigidity for the middle section of the 'chassis'. In order to prevent further twisting, the brace ties both rails together from front to rear. The design will utilise tubular steel and will be developed over winter 2009/2010.
